His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich and Fr. Vincent De Smet Visit Chicago!

The LBA proudly hosted His Eminence Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich and Fr. Vincent De Smet from the Archdiocese of Luxembourg this past weekend in Chicago. On Saturday we enjoyed a Lake Michigan and Chicago River Architectural boat tour followed by lunch at the famous Harry Caray’s restaurant on Navy Pier. On Sunday, the Cardinal presided over mass at Holy Child Jesus Parish in Chicago, formerly St. Margaret Mary church founded in 1921 by Luxembourg immigrants. Cardinal Hollerich blessed the statue of Our Lady of Luxembourg, which was donated to the church by the Archdiocese of Luxembourg last year. Following mass, Cardinal Hollerich attended our annual Schobermesse Festival in Morton Grove, IL.  The LBA extends its gratitude to Cardinal Hollerich and Fr. De Smet for spending the weekend with us!
